On 22 April, the English Speaking Day event, themed "Digital Literacy," engaged students actively throughout the day. During the morning assembly, two S3 and S4 students presented valuable insights into how digital technology influences communication, learning, social interactions, and wellbeing, highlighting both its advantages and potential risks. Several classes participated by completing digital habits polls, while the presenters shared practical guidance for using online spaces safely and responsibly. At lunchtime, students collaborated using GEM (an AI writing tool) to develop mini-drama scripts addressing cyberbullying, privacy, scams, and plagiarism; this teamwork enabled them to reinforce key digital literacy concepts with one another. They subsequently video-recorded their performances, which proved enjoyable to share among peers. After school, Miss Wendy facilitated an engaging vocabulary game to consolidate the essential terms introduced during the event.
