English Fun Activity Halloween

Our Form 1 students brought incredible energy and creativity to the school’s 8th   floor in the English room on the 9th of October 2026 last week. To kick-start the English Fun Activities this year, we couldn’t have done it better without a festive Halloween DIY paper mask workshop! The English room was transformed into a bustling design studio as the students crafted unique characters—ranging from spooky phantoms to colorful monsters—using paper, markers, and mixed media. As they cut and decorated their masks, the hands-on crafting session provided a relaxed, low-pressure environment that naturally encouraged the students to chat and collaborate in English. This creative activity sparked immense joy, building our learners' confidence while instantly fostering an English-rich environment, where students actively negotiated meaning and shared ideas in their target language. The enthusiasm was contagious; the masks gave our English language learners a fun "shield" that melted away public speaking anxieties, allowing even the most hesitant students to speak fluently and confidently.
